The Scriptures say much about the need for Biblical training and godly counsel. Not only did the Jews of ancient Israel train their children in Torah studies, they considered it essential for the understanding, spiritually, of right from wrong: “Train your children in they way they should go and when they are old, they will not stray from it…”
This idea has not changed for the Christian after the advent of Christ. Even in this “age of grace” God, as well as the Lord’s disciples, encouraged the Church to meditate on ‘The Word’ day and night: “All Scripture is God breathed, for the training…in righteousness , so that the man of God may be fully equipped…”
